The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.

According to a statement issued by JAMB's Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now check their results through the Board's approved result-checking channels.

The Board also announced that it will begin the ranking of candidates following the release of the results. This process will be followed by the printing of result slips required for admission purposes, which is expected to commence before the end of the week.

The mop-up examination was conducted on June 13, 2026, to provide another opportunity for candidates who were successfully biometrically verified during the main UTME but were unable to sit for the examination due to technical issues, biometric challenges, or other disruptions at their examination centres.

JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, and other stakeholders for their patience and cooperation throughout the examination process.

Candidates are advised to check their results promptly and stay updated on admission-related developments as institutions begin preparations for the 2026 admission exercise.

What This Means for Candidates

With the release of the mop-up results, the admission process is gradually moving into its next phase. Candidates should ensure they:

1.Check and print their UTME result slips when available.

2.Monitor their preferred institutions for Post-UTME announcements.

3.Upload their O'Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal if they have not already done so.

4.Keep track of admission updates and screening requirements.

The release of the mop-up results marks another important step toward the commencement of the 2026 admission process across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
