Law Students Seeking Transfer? Admission In Progress Can Help You Explore Your Options

Recent developments in legal education in Nigeria have left some Law students looking for alternative universities where they can continue their studies.

The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has taken regulatory action against some universities over their Law programmes. In August 2026, for example, Atiba University was placed under a 10-year moratorium, with the university stating that it would assist affected students who wish to transfer to other institutions.

Earlier in the year, the CLE also placed Paul University, Clifford University and Federal University Oye-Ekiti under two-year moratoriums for violations of regulatory procedures concerning their Law programmes.

For students affected by these developments, the concern is understandable: What happens to my education, and can I continue my Law programme in another university?
