FULOKOJA ANNOUNCES 2026/2027 ADMISSION CUT-OFF MARKS FOR ALL PROGRAMMES 

Prospective students seeking admission into the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) for the 2026/2027 academic session can now check the minimum scores approved for their respective programmes.

The university has approved different cut-off marks for its programmes rather than applying one uniform mark to every course. The figures show considerable differences between programmes, with the required scores starting from 40% and rising to 73%.The approval was made by the university's Central Admissions Committee during its 45th meeting held on 17 September 2026.This means that candidates who participated in the admission process can now compare their scores with the requirement attached to their chosen programme.

COURSES WITH THE HIGHEST CUT-OFF MARKS 

Some of the university's most competitive programmes have been assigned cut-off marks above 70%.

Law records the highest figure at 73%, followed by Pharmacy at 72.50% and Nursing Science at 72%.

Medical Laboratory Science also has a relatively high requirement of 68.50%.

Other programmes with notable cut-off marks include Mass Communication at 63%, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering at 62% each, while Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration have requirements of 61%.

For candidates who want to check their particular course, the approved figures are grouped below.

Arts and Humanities

The university has fixed the cut-off for Arabic Studies, Archaeology, Christian Religious Studies, English and Literary Studies, French, History and International Studies, Islamic Studies, Linguistics, Music and Philosophy at 40%.

The exception in this group is Theatre Arts, which has a cut-off mark of 50%.

Communication and Media Programmes

There is a noticeable difference among the communication related programmes.

Candidates for Mass Communication are required to meet a 63% cut-off, while Broadcasting Journalism and Film and Multimedia Studies have requirements of 40% each.

Education

Candidates who applied for Education programmes have a relatively low programme cut-off compared with several other courses.

The approved mark for English Education, History Education, Business Education, Educational Management and Planning, Guidance and Counselling, Political Science Education, Economics Education, Geography Education and Social Studies Education is 40%.

The same mark applies to Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Computer Science Education, Integrated Science Education, Mathematics Education and Physics Education.

Agriculture

The three listed Agriculture related programmes Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, and Fishery and Aquaculture each have a 40% cut-off mark.

Computing

Candidates interested in technology-related programmes will find different requirements depending on their course.

Artificial Intelligence has a cut-off of 62%, while Cyber Security is set at 60%.

Computer Science, Data Science and Software Engineering each require 50%.

Engineering

The approved figures for the Engineering programmes are also above the general 40% mark.

Computer Engineering requires 62%, while Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering each have a cut-off of 61%.

Environmental Sciences

For candidates interested in Architecture, the approved cut-off mark is 55%.Building, Environmental Management, Geography, and Urban and Regional Planning each have a requirement of 40%.

Management Sciences

The cut-off for Business Administration is 61%, while Accounting is set at 60%.

Candidates for Public Administration need 58%.

Actuarial Science, Entrepreneurship Studies, Finance and Procurement Management each have a cut-off of 45%.

Social Sciences

Political Science has an approved cut-off of 60%, while Economics requires 55%.

The figure for Sociology is 50%.

Criminology and Security Studies, Library and Information Science and Psychology each require 45%, while Social Work has a cut-off of 40%.

Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences

The health-related programmes remain among those with the highest programme requirements.Nursing Science has an approved cut-off mark of 72%, while Medical Laboratory Science is set at 68.50%.For Pharmacy, candidates are required to meet a cut-off mark of 72.50%.

Life Sciences

Biochemistry and Microbiology both have cut-off marks of 60%.

The requirement for Biotechnology is 55%, while candidates for Biology, Botany and Zoology are expected to meet 40%.

Physical Sciences

Chemistry, Geology, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics all have an approved cut-off mark of 40%.

FULOKOJA Admission Cut-Off Mark: What It Means for Candidates

The newly approved figures give applicants a clearer idea of the score required for their chosen programme. However, candidates should not interpret the cut-off mark as an automatic admission offer.

Meeting the required score is one part of the admission process.
