NUC Approves 13 New Degree Programmes for Nigerian Universities.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially approved 13 new degree programmes across Nigerian universities, marking a major step toward modernising higher education in the country.

According to a statement released on Thursday and obtained by TVC News, the commission explained that the new programmes are part of the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) policy  designed to equip Nigerian graduates with 21st-century skills and enhance the nation’s global competitiveness in science, technology, and sustainable development.

The statement reads:

> “The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 13 new degree programmes to modernise Nigerian higher education and align it with global standards. These programmes, which fall under the new Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) policy, will commence once universities successfully undergo resource verification. The initiative aims to strengthen Nigeria’s capacity in science, technology, and sustainable growth.”

5.Telecommunication Science

10.Islamic Economics & Finance

11.Parasitology & Entomology

12.Cooperative Economics & Management

13.Christian Education
