The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.

ELIGIBILITY 

Candidates are eligible to apply if they:

- Chose UNN as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.

- Scored 160 and above in the UTME.

- Have names on their WAEC/NECO results that match the names used in their JAMB registration.

- Will be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026.

- Candidates awaiting the November/December 2026 WAEC GCE or NECO results are not eligible to apply.

- Applicants must upload their O'Level results to both JAMB CAPS and the UNN Portal on or before Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as only compliant candidates will be considered for admission.

REGISTRATION PERIOD 

- Registration Opens: Wednesday, July 15, 2026

- Registration Closes: Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (11:59 PM)

REGISTRATION FEE

Applicants are required to pay:

- ₦2,000 – Screening Application Fee

- ₦3,300 – Processing Fee

Payments should be made through the Remita Platform at any commercial bank or online using an ATM card.

1. Visit the UNN portal.

2. Click on Prospective Students.

3. Select the 2026/2027 Admission Screening Application.

4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number.

5. Generate your payment invoice and complete the payment.

6. Return to the portal to complete the application form.

7. Enter your O'Level results correctly and upload all required documents.

8. Review your application, confirm the details, submit, and print your acknowledgement slip.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 

Applicants are expected to upload:

- Birth Certificate

- Local Government Identification

- Testimonial

- First School Leaving Certificate

- JAMB Result Slip

- O'Level Result(s) (for one or two sittings, where applicable)

INFORMATION FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES 

Direct Entry candidates who selected UNN as their first-choice institution are also required to register for the screening exercise. In addition, candidates must ensure that their A'Level results submitted to JAMB have been verified through the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS).

 Applicants are advised to complete their registration before the deadline and ensure that every detail provided is accurate to avoid issues during the admission process.
